Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Diwali, and Hanukkah follow lunar or Hebrew calendars whose final dates are confirmed by moon sighting or religious authority close to the day; when your local announcement disagrees with our estimate, your announcement wins, and we update within days of hearing about it.

What to include

For date corrections: the holiday, the year, and the source your community or authority uses — a link or a name is enough, no formal citation needed. For bugs: the page address and what your browser showed, plus roughly when it happened. For partnerships: what you have in mind and who you are — we are selective about anything that would sit next to the countdowns, and everything is covered in the disclosures page. And if you just want to tell us which holiday we are missing, that is welcome too: the calendar has more of them than we have built so far, and reader requests decide what gets built next.

Response times

Date errors and confirmed factual mistakes are fixed within days — usually faster, since a correction to one countdown is often a correction to the shared calendar data behind all of them. Everything else gets read and answered as time allows; a one-person editorial desk answers mail slower than it fixes data, and that trade is deliberate.
