DaysUntil is free to use, and it is funded by two clearly bounded revenue sources. This page explains both, because you deserve to know how a site makes money before you trust it.

1. Advertising

Countdown and article pages may carry contextual advertising (for example Google AdSense). Ads are matched to the general topic of a page — a Christmas countdown may show gift-related ads — but ad networks choose the ads, not us, and no advertiser sees or influences our countdown data, date tables, or editorial content.

2. Retail referral links

On seasonal pages we may link to relevant retail products — for example party supplies before New Year or decorations before Halloween. Where a link is a paid referral (typically an Amazon Associates link), it is labeled in the text. If you buy something through such a link, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

What money never buys

Countdown accuracy, holiday facts, and date tables are never for sale. We do not accept paid placements disguised as facts, sponsored dates, or "promoted" holidays in the countdown grid. Every date is verified against published calendars, and corrections from readers outrank every revenue consideration — see the contact page for how to send one.

Launch-period note

As of today the site is in its launch period: advertising may be limited while program applications are pending, and referral links are added only after the relevant program approval. This page is updated whenever the funding mix changes.
